2026-2027 School Registration
East Central Catholic School Division Online Registration
ECACS will be using SchoolEngage for online registrations starting with the 2026-2027 school year.
Please ensure when you are registering that your are choosing the 2026-2027 registration form. If you complete a form for the incorrect year, the information cannot be transferred to another form and you will be asked to re-register using the correct form.
We are excited to welcome your student into our ECACS School Community!
You can start the registration process with the links found below, but before you begin two helpful pieces of information:
- Have your supporting documents (ex. Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Study Permit, etc) easy to access prior to beginning the registration process.
- Once you are in the SchoolEngage system, please pick the correct grade/year registration form
- Registration for 2026-2027 is now open with two forms:
- 2026-2027 Kindergarten Student Registration
- 2026-2027 Grade 1-12 Student Registration Form
NEW Families to School of Hope or Vermilion Hope Home Schooling (ECACS)
- To register a child for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12, Summer School or Dual Credit who have never attended ECACS, please create a new SchoolEngage account.
- The SchoolEngage system is mobile friendly, you can use your smartphone or tablet to register. We recommend using a computer (desktop or laptop) to complete forms in SchoolEngage.
- Detailed instructions for registering through School Engage are included in our ECACS Registration Guide for Parents.
New students, to register for Online Learning, Shared or Homeschooling programs, choose the appropriate grade level for your child.
We are proud to announce the addition of Kindergarten (Early Childhood Services) in our Hope Homeschooling program.
- A child may be enrolled if she/he will be four (4) years & eight (8) months of age by Aug 31 of that school year.
- Alberta Education funding available to parents is $450.50. (1/2 the PD amount)
- The same requirements and facilitator visitation schedule that applies to our gr. 1-12 homeschooling programs apply to our
- Kindergarten homeschooling students as well.

What is SchoolEngage
SchoolEngage is a convenient, secure online enrolment system. This replaces our annual registration package and demographic updates, and verifies all student information for every child prior to the start of school and each May for Student Update and Verification forms.

What if I don't have access to computer?
All schools have computers available for parents who do not have computer or internet access. The SchoolEngage system is mobile friendly, you can use your smartphone or tablet to register.
What if I don't have access to a scanner?
Bring your supporting documents into the school to ensure your registration is complete. Alternatively, take a photo with your smartphone or tablet, then either upload it directly to the form or save it on your computer and upload it from there.
Examples of accepted documentation:
- Canadian provincial birth certificate
- If you do not have a birth certificate and your child was born in Alberta, you can download a form HERE, fill it out and take it to the local registries office to order one.
- Canadian citizenship document
- Student Visa
- Student immigration papers, student visa, or study permit. Work Permits, Landed immigrant documentation for permanent/temporary residence card will also be required for parents. Documents cannot be expired.
- Guardianship Court Appointed Document. If parents live outside of Alberta legal guardianship must be applied for through Alberta Government and court documents supporting legal guardianship can be uploaded at the time of registration.
- Verification of residency such as driver's license, utility bill, lease agreement, property tax bill.
